The staff were very friendly, professional and efficient.
We unfortunately did not enjoy our stay at the Hazlewood Hotel and as such made an official complaint before we left. The room was unclean, the bed was broken and the overall stay did not provide value for money.

Beautiful rooms and a lovely restored castle. Idealic setting, quiet, relaxing and very peaceful. Wonderful food too!
Toilet handel had to be pumped at least six times before the toilet would fully flush. Shower was rather pathetic. It was a thin drizzle at best. Moreover, the water temperature wouldn't adjust. There was only one temperature and that was scalding. We used the tub which was fine. Everything else, rooms, amenities, surroundings, the rest of the castle, the staff, the food etc. was fantastic!!

The room was good well apointed
resturant very large lacked atmosphere
-
great room, fantastic food, lovely surroundings, very handy location
I tried to book again for the following week and I couldn't get the same great rate again! Poor internet connection, although it was quite nice not to be bombarded with emails for 1 night!

A very warm and friendly welcome from a delightful and well trained staff. It is ideally located for Northern travellers and so close to the A1. We are sorry we had not found it several yaers earlier.
-
The grounds and setting are both beautiful. The staff were very friendly, is was warm and welcoming.
-
Fantastic hotel and surroundings not compromised by the staff or services
Restaurant prices on the pricey side ... unless you are quite affluent - I ate in a couple of the many restaurants in Tadcaster

Surroundings where fantastic and a great building to stay in. Staff where very pleasant and helpful and the food was top class.
I would have to dig pretty deep to think of something. No complaints at all.
-
It was brilliant, the staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A beautiful castle in stunning grounds. The breakfast was amazing! It was really lovely and we would definitely stay there again.
There was nothing to dislike!

Very peaceful, relaxing & ideal surroundings for a mini break for any couple

Fabulous setting. Refurbished rooms very comfortable. Excellent for location for onward travel. Gardens and grounds very attractive and well maintained.
Unrefurbished rooms dirty, stained carpets and furniture. Mould and dirty grout in the bathroom of Lavender our first room. This room needs totally refurbishing, new carpets, furniture and curtains. I found the previous occupants hair grips and hair all over the room. There was a loud wedding party the night we stayed and the noise was deafening. This room should only be used by members of the wedding party as after wedding the guests spend the rest of the night sitting on the terrace under the window of Lavender carrying on their festivities.

Great location. Amazing building and gardens.
Too many signs of corners being cut. Should be cleaner. Stains on carpets in main areas would appear to need nothing more than a bit of effort. Amazed the bar was closed on a Sunday evening. When enquiring we were told we could take a beer in the resteraunt or one could be brought to us in the lounge. Result - the place was like a morgue.
